A White Supremacist Fires Gun at Blacks in Crowd, Cops Do Nothing

recently released video depicts a white supremacist shooting at a group of people at the “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, while the police do absolutely nothing. The man simply walked away and was charged with nothing, until weeks later.

The ACLU released the video (not the most trustworthy entity, but the video is real nonetheless).

In the video, a grey haired white man wearing a bulletproof vest draws a handgun in front of dozens of cops. He fires a round at a crowd of people and not one cop moved.

“Hey, nigger!” the man yelled before firing the round. It’s unclear whether he was firing with the intent to kill or just trying to cause terror. Apparently he was firing in the direction of Corey Long, the man who made a makeshift flame thrower with an aerosol can.

“We all heard it and ran — I know damn well they heard it,” a community activist in Charlottesville named Rosia Parker said, referring to the cops. “They never moved.”

The shooter wasn’t arrested that day, and he very easily could have been. Only two weeks later did police act, and probably because they were obligated to with the public knowing the event occurred.

52 year old Richard W. Preston was arrested and charged with nothing too severe, not attempted murder, just discharging a firearm within 1,000 feet of a school. He is in custody in Towson, Maryland.

Residents are fighting to know why officers didn’t act. Heavily armed people fought, a car sped into the crowd, shots were fired, and many participants in the protest and counter-protest are suggesting the officers purposefully did nothing.

A spokeswoman for the Virginia State Police named Corrine Geller claimed they couldn’t hear the gunfire due to the noise of the crowd.

Anyone who has ever fired a gun knows that is complete bullsh*t: a regular 9 mm pistol will leave your ears ringing if fired too close.
